Liners are sourced from OE parts manufacture who have been producing centrifugally cast cylinder liners with different chemical structure, microstructure, and mechanical properties for 140+ years.
The centrifugal casting process is a foundation for a flawless and absolutely pressure-tight material microstructure.
Material used for cylinder liner production has a significant importance for its properties, mainly oil consumption, engine life & emissions.
Different surface treatments are used for the optimization of wear and stress resistance.
MPI also delivers Anti Polishing Rings (APR) for these cylinder liners.
